I can change my name now?

Wed May 16, 2012, 6:16 PM

Halleh-freakin'-lujah! I REALLY hated my current nickname.

...

... And now I suddenly don't know what my new name should be. I mean, I had an alternate, but I was planning on using it for seeking jobs. And I can't use my new Tumblr username since I'm trying to keep this and that as far apart as possible.

Crap. :/

In other news: Man keeps forgetting to update his DA account. Does that mean he's finally abandoning it and moving to greener pastures? His answer: "I have no freaking clue."

Got a tumblr account!

Thu Apr 5, 2012, 4:19 PM

URL is thetruehentaiaddict dot tumblr dot com. I'd link it here, but in the furute it WILL contain a lot of adult art so yeah.

To those of you who don't wish to register on FurAffinity to see my stuff, this one's for you.

Stream starts in approx. 2-3 hours

Sat Mar 31, 2012, 7:44 PM

Just mentioning it ahead of time. Remember: Link won't be posted here due to content. Go to my FurAffinity or SoFurry account and wait if you want it.

Would've started sooner, but I had to overdose from caffeine first due to lack of rest (upstairs neighbors destroyed their toilet at 5 AM forcing me awake, and then I had to deal with a lot of leaks at 10 AM while I waited for maintenance to find out what they did/fix their stuff/berate them for not calling them and instead waiting for me to call about the mess; not exactly conditions for me to sleep in). Just started on a rough sketch for an overdue gift I'm doing for a friend (you know who you are), and once I'm done inking it traditionally I'll start streaming the clean-up process so you guys can see how I REALLY work (the Lunestia pic was all-digital, and while I'm proud of how it turned out fact is if I don't start with a traditional sketch it's gonna look ten times inferior. This is why stream requests are so cheap: they're an opportunity for me to get used more with a tablet, but compared to my traditional stuff they're not good enough for me to charge more than $1. Maybe if I get a high-quality camera/stand so I can stream myself with pencils things will be more interesting).

Anyway, a quick reminder of the rules before then:
-- $1 requests (+$1 per additional character)
-- Must be doable in a 20-30 minute time frame (keep it simple - you're not the only one asking for stuff)
-- PayPal only (AlertPay's a bitch to set up)
-- Behave, and keep the RPing to a minimum/PG-13 (not everyone likes it)
-- WILL contain some extreme content - if it's not your thing, either show up early (warm-up's a very tame pin-up - I'll warn you guys when the extreme part begins) or avoid like the plague (I know it's not everyone's thing). I'll do a more normal one in the future, I promise.

See you guys then!

I've been doing a couple streams lately (been announcing them on FurAffinity and SoFurry), and decided I might as well announce one here. You'll have to watch me on either one of those sites to get the link to the stream, though - stream's strictly adult and WILL contain stuff that most people here will find extreme.

Anyway, it'll be the same as last time: $1 requests (+$1 per additional character), each should be possible to finish in 20-30 minutes (keep 'em simple, fellas), PayPal only (AlertPay and I have some issues). Gonna try to start early, but no promises.

Status update

Tue Mar 6, 2012, 12:08 PM

1. Internship's going okay. Having fun. Would've gotten me a trip to GDC (Game Developer's Conference) with my employers but college didn't post an offer this year. Shame, too - would've loved to see Tim Schafer in person.

2. Trying to get myself to draw again since I have a week of my own time while they're on GDC (internship's been burning me out - had to draw a lot of stuff every week). Still trying to decide on whether to make a lesbian or a gay pic first, both of which I have planned out (don't try to convince me one way or the other, people - I'm flipping a coin later tonight. Besides, they're explicit, so they're going on my FurAffinity account - not like most of you will be seeing them anyway).

3. Jet Set Radio HD got announced, meaning I now know what to buy on summer.

4. Currently waiting for an European import copy of Last Window for the DS (sequel to Hotel Dusk, not released on the US). Might finally clear Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors while I wait.

5. If anyone's reading this: Got any suggestions for stories, games, movies, etc. that are of the cosmic horror / Lovecraftian variety? I need some inspiration for a project I'll reveal once I stop being lazy and make an alternate safe-for-work account.

6. Note to self: Post here more (at least cropped versions of the stuff on FA to show I'm still active in other places).

On Game Jams and Google+

Sun Oct 2, 2011, 10:18 PM

So my college decided to host a 48-hour game jam for beginners as practice for a big one they're hosting in November. Was a lot of fun, ended up practicing pixel art quite a bit and my team made a simple platform game. I also made part of a basic framework for a shoot-em-up game in Lua using the Love engine, but I don't know if I should translate it to C# / XNA for my own projects or say "screw it" and use it to make a Touhou demake.

(Oh, and for those who don't know: A game jam is basically a competition to make complete games in a certain time frame - in this case, 48 hours)

Also, I have a Google+ account now. Will post random (SFW) sketches and pics there as well as more daily life stuff I like to keep off my journals, so if you want to follow me or just check what's already there just go here: [link]

Just some announcements

Sat Aug 6, 2011, 9:41 PM

Before starting, I decided to try out a new skin, this time one NOT made by me due to the fact that I no longer spend as much time here as I used to. Hopefully this is easier to read. Besides, haven't written a new journal in five months.

Right, down to business. First of all, I've almost completely moved to FurAffinity due to the fact that I've been doing more and more adult art. I still post only once or twice a month, but at least you'll see more pics there than here - uncensored, even! Link's up above, but you'll have to log in and turn off the mature filter in order to see most of my gallery.

Secondly, since I never posted about this: I took a leave-of-absence from college last semester since I was getting way too stressed and ended up getting myself almost kicked out due to failing to complete classes. I just recently finished recovering, having spent almost three years working straight without a long break, and am currently trying to get myself to concentrate on teaching myself how to animate since the class I took ended up being a cheap "how to do simple stuff on Flash" course instead of the traditional animation course I expected (and since the class was tailored to satisfy people who CAN'T draw and just want to learn how to use the program I ended up learning jack shit). Once I finish that, I'll learn how to use a game engine. Maybe either FlatRedBall or Danmakufu, I dunno.

Anyway, that's all I have to say at the moment. I'll still be hanging around, but don't expect me to post often.

Need advice

Journal Entry: Sun Mar 6, 2011, 10:52 PM
It's stupid, but here goes:

Any of you guys have any tips on procrastination? 'Cause this is getting out of hand. Seriously, I put a pencil on a piece of paper to start with homework, and the next minute I'm bagging outlaws in Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath or playing Poker Night at the Inventory with no recollection of how I jumped from one to the other.

The midterm for animation class is due Tuesday night (which usually wouldn't be a problem - I've been able to do some simple animations using traditional tools in just a few hours - but this class is focused on Flash, which I suck at even worse than Photoshop), and you know what I've done? A very rough blue pencil animation of a freaking bush. And that's all I've finished - from the first scene (four scenes total, but the third one's about five seconds long and a bit complex). I know I'm lazy, but this is getting ridiculous.

Who else is on Steam?

Journal Entry: Fri Mar 4, 2011, 8:48 PM
Just curious.

I've recently started using Steam again once I realized my PC's good enough to play graphically-intensive games (or at least Unreal Tournament 3, which I used to test the new fan I installed on it). Here's a link to my profile, if you want to friend me or something, I dunno: [link]

Three new pics on FurAffinity

Journal Entry: Sat Feb 19, 2011, 4:15 PM
Just thought you should know.

I uploaded them 1-2 weeks ago, but forgot to tell you guys. They're a bit, er... large, so to speak, which is why there's no preview this time. Here's where to find them: [link] . As always, you need to be logged in and with the Mature Content filter off to see them.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have a journal skin to tinker with (new journal editing interface is not working well with how I coded it). Never mind, didn't work.

Friends, watchers and commissioners, please read

Journal Entry: Thu Jan 6, 2011, 12:41 AM
IMPORTANT:

I am currently working on a bunch of commissions I owe a friend, as well as a pic I owe someone from over a year ago. After that, I'll contact those few who have already asked for commissions but that I rejected due to still having my hands full with these.

Once those commissions are done, I will not be taking any more, possibly for a year or two. I wouldn't say forever, but you might as well treat it as such. Reason for this: I'm too slow. I take too long on a single pic and the end result usually ends up disappointing to me (with few exceptions, most of which are pencil drawings). Until I can either create high quality colored pics in an amount of time shorter than three months or feel that my artwork is more professional, I'm closing up shop.

Besides, I'm failing college, I'm in my junior year and just now starting to learn animation, the game I need to complete in order to graduate is still in the concept stage due to the aforementioned "just starting to learn animation" bit, my website's a mess (bad, considering it's gonna be my portfolio for when start searching for a job), and my artwork is not up to the level I need it to be if I want a job at the gaming industry. As soon as those pics I promised are done, I won't be drawing s much smut as you've seen up until now and will start focusing on stuff relevant to what I'm studying.

Just something to keep in mind, though I'm pretty sure 90% of you will ignore this journal, as always.

Happy New Years, people

Journal Entry: Fri Dec 31, 2010, 8:18 PM
Status: Tired

Enjoy yourselves tonight, drink up or do whatever it is you do to celebrate. Meanwhile, I'll be trying to find a way to stay awake and finish this pic I have in front of me that anyone with decent coloring skills would have already finished five months ago.

(Note to self: Get medical insurance, then visit some kind of sleep specialist to see if I'm narcoleptic. Also: Stop accepting color commissions until I can actually finish a decent work in less than half a year without it looking mediocre.)

Going offline for a few days (please read)

Journal Entry: Fri Dec 10, 2010, 10:34 PM
Emergency situation:

Due to a group of assignments that could mean the difference between staying in college or being kicked out, I will not be using internet (or a computer, for that matter) for the next few days. I have ten or so drawings due for Art Concept class, and I have to finish reading two books and write about four essays for Technology and Society class. I've been in a really awful state of health these last few months, which has seriously affected my performance in these two classes, which is why I'll be working on these projects (which are due on Wednesday, btw).

I'll probably post a few of those art assignments when I return. Until then, so long, internet - I'm going back to pencil and paper.

For those of you who don't know yet...

Journal Entry: Thu Nov 25, 2010, 11:40 AM
(And that's probably a lot of you)

I'm posting a new pic once a day this week on FA, usually on the Scraps section of my gallery (unless it's from an OC session). There's already two there that will never even see a preview here, so if you're really interested in seeing new pics, go there.

...Oh, and have a happy thanksgiving. If you have the chance to be with your family today, do so.

Finally succeeded on installing Linux

Journal Entry: Mon Oct 11, 2010, 10:03 PM
News:

Okay, for those of you who don't know: A few months ago, I built this PC from scratch with the intent of running both Windows 7 and Linux at the same time. However, the graphics card I had was the only one not supported by the ATI driver used in Linux, so every single distro I had crashed.

Well, I checked again, and apparently that problem is fixed. So I installed Linux Mint. And it runs like a dream (for now, anyway).

If it still works by the end of the week, I'll be happy. :)

Journal update

Journal Entry: Thu Sep 30, 2010, 11:40 PM
NEWS:

Okay, first of all, for those of you who haven't noticed: You can now draw on your comments in journals. I will be abusing the hell out of this, and I'm hoping that I'm not the only one. Feel free to draw here if you want.

Secondly: Subscription's almost run out. This means there will no longer be boobs to welcome you here on these journals until I get either some cash or points during the next few weeks. This also means I will be lurking here less due to the amount of ads I'd have to endure (hello, virus alert). You have been warned.

In other news: Not sure if the spam blocker I use on my site blocks regular comments as well. Could someone comment there and then leave a note here saying you commented? This'll help me find out. Here's the site: [link]

On college and my personal projects

Journal Entry: Thu Sep 2, 2010, 12:37 AM
New semester starts on Tuesday.

Hopefully, this one will go by smoother than the last one (failed two classes, withdrew from another, barely passed the last two with D's). Main problem I have to deal with is my drowsiness - lately I've been sleeping for over 12 hours (and still feel like going to bed during the day), but I can't see the doctor about it due to lack of a medical insurance (no job to pay for one). This seriously hurts my productivity.

Also, my personal projects: Most of you don't know this because you don't visit my site (I am assuming this because either you guys don't comment there or the spam-blocker is malfunctioning and blocking everything you guys say - if you DID comment and don't see what you wrote there, note me so I can deactivate the thing), but I've been working on two projects: one interactive fiction (of which I will post an update by Saturday - been making progress on it), and one XNA game that's still in the design phase (currently working on the sprite design) and that will also count as my graduation project. Only reason I'm writing this is to warn you that once the second project starts updating quicker there will be a sharp decline on the amount of titties you will see from me as I post stuff from it here.

...Not that anyone will care. Hell, those people to whom I'm posting this warning will probably just ignore this entry in favor of waiting for the next girl with huge jugs, as always. I'm also willing to bet there won't be any comments here for the next few days after I post this, after which I will have long forgotten that I even wrote this in the first place. *keeps watch*

Also, obligatory site link, for the one or two curious ones: [link] - Will update later this week.

P.S. Personal reminder: Renew subscription, then work on new journal layout (tits are nice, but there's not enough reading space).

Decided to put the site to better use, so it will be updated more frequently from now on. It won't have any adult pics for now, but it will update on projects that I'll probably never talk about here, so check it out! Hell, the RSS feed works perfectly now, so you can even subscribe to it! :)

Now all I have to do is change the banner on top (web design teacher was right: I kinda look like Fidel Castro >_<).
